FRI:
Elmers 9 – Angels 10…
10 -9 win for the angels. We were down 9 – 5 going into bottom of the 7th.

Expos 4 – Knights 6…
Lucas Nickerson overcame a tough first inning, went the distance, and got the win in a darkness shortened 6inning game. The big hit that put the Knights over the top and clinched the win, came in the bottom of the 6th off Ernie Meza’s bat. The bases were loaded, 2 outs, and the Knights down 4-3. Ernie laced a 3-2 pitch over the shortstops head to left field, scoring 2 and giving the Knights the lead for good.

THU:
Ridges 3 – Elmers 2…
Winning pitcher- Pete Moulin- pitched 5 innings giving up 2 hits and 1 run. Dan Samciouk had 2 hits, 1 rbi and scored the winning run. Carol – LP Ken Cook had an rbi single in the 6th inning closing the gap to 3-2 which became the final score.

Angels 8 – Knights 1…Angels Dominate…
For the Angels, Ryan Gott led the way on the mound, throwing a complete game while keeping the Knights off balance the entire game. Will Delgado had 3 hits and 2 RBI, and 2 Runs… while Jackson Mistretta had a hit and 2 runs scored. Rex Cone was not his usual self on the mound. He was relieved by Matt Doyle who did a nice job finally putting out the East Hartford Bats. The Knights we led on offense by Cone who knocked in the only Knights run with a single, while Rick Barrett had 2 singles.

Twins 0 – Bristol Knights 8… Barrett Throws a No-No…
In the second game of the day for the Knights, the team found their bats, defense and pitching all at once, and came out to hand the Twins a very tough loss. The Knights we led offensively by Paul Fanceschi 2 hits and 2 RBI, Chris Klepps had 2 hits and 2 runs scored, and Rick Blais had a double, single and RBI. The defense in game 2 was markedly better as well the defense was challenged often, and they were up to the task all night long. Sean Ferguson, Chris Klepps, Chris Taylor, Ernie Meza, and Phil Dauria all had some spectacular plays to keep hits off the board. The real story all night was Rick Barret. Drew Gallagher caught for the Knights, and kept the batters thinking while Barrett delivered in every way. He spotted pitches, and threw numerous ground ball outs that the infield ate up. Rick was in top form… striking out only 3, and when the Twins did hit the ball, the Knights made heroic plays to keep the no-hitter intact. In the end, Rick threw the 7inning complete game shutout NO-HITTER, and doing it very resourcefully… only throwing around 85 pitches, and only allowing 6 base runners (3 walks, 1 HBP, 1 FC, and 1 error). Rick ruled the night… not bad for his first time pitching for the team since fall ball a few years.
