The matchups are set after a bunch of meaningful games to close out the final weeks of the regular season. On Thursday 8/4, The Willimantic Ridges won on the road over the Portland Panthers when it counted most, and beat the Panthers by a score of 9-3. The win locked the Ridges into the top spot in the Eastern Division and the first round bye in the playoffs. Earlier in the week, in a must win game for the Brickhouse Indians… the Indians defeated the Ridges on the road to clinch the 5th playoff spot and guarantee they didn’t end up in the elimination bracket to start the playoffs.
The final league overall standings look like this…
The bracket is structured the same as it has been since we moved up to 10 teams a few years ago… Double Elimination, with the top two seeds (the division winners) getting a first round bye, while the bottom four overall teams start with a loss in the elimination bracket. The bracket looks like this. GOOD LUCK TO ALL TEAMS!
