EAST HAMPTON>> Maybe things really are coming together for the Expos.
With the Old Home Days celebration going on in the center of town, it was the Expos celebrating run after run against arguably the best team in the league–and that was just the first inning.
The Expos pushed across eight in the opening frame en route to a 16-3 win over East Hartford to push their winning streak to two–the first back-to-back wins for the Expos all season.
The Angels got two back in the second, but that would be all for a team averaging six runs per game and a +47 run differential.
Ben Fortin threw a complete game and probably won’t pitch ever again as his arm went with the ball on the last pitch he threw of the game.
After losing 10-1 to Glastonbury on Tuesday, the Expos run differential on the week went from -9 to +9 with a 5-0 win over Willimantic and this 13-run victory.
The Expos play three more next week: Tuesday and Friday at East Hampton High School and Thursday at Riverfront Park in Glastonbury.
