WILLIMANTIC>> The Expos finally put it together.
They got hits with runners on and a complete game shutout from Zack Turner as the Expos won their first ever game at Rec. Park. A 5-0 victory over the Ridges on Thursday.
Zack Turner went the distance for the third time this season, picking up his second win of the year, while striking out nine.
Kyle McMahon, playing as close to his hometown (Mansfield) as possible in the Manchester Twilight League, roped a 2-run double over the left fielder’s head in the fifth to give the Expos the lead.
Zack Turner worked out of a couple of jams to keep the Ridges off the board.
In the top of the seventh, Alex Fortin drove in Scott Lufbery and Ryan Cronin to extend the lead to 4-0 before Derek Turner added one more with an RBI single to right center.
The Expos finish out the week on Friday with a home game vs. the East Hartford Angels at East Hampton High School.
