Recently the Fat Orange Cat Brewers (the 2019 CTL Champions) had many players step away from the team, causing most of the remaining players to merge into the Elmer’s Angels. The Angels had also lost a group of veteran players making the merger make sense. We are saddened by the loss of the Brewers who were a strong team. The Elmer’s Angels team looks to be a strong contender for CTL Champions in 2022 with the additions. As previously announced, the Enfield Patriots joined the league this year… combining their team with parts of Brendan Murphy’s team to enter the league. Both teams had previously played in the Tri-County League (CT & Mass based). Additionally, the Terryville Black Sox return to the CTL after playing with us in 2020. The Black Sox return and should be a strong team once again, after a very good year last year in the Tri-State league. Long time veteran team, the Bristol Knights return. This is the 20th season for the Bristol Knights, making them the current longest running team in the league. The Wethersfield Dodgers return looking to make a run at their first CTL Championship with a lot of new players in 2022. The New Britain Rock Cats should make some noise once again, bringing their potent offense back for another run. The Southington Aftershock return with most of their core intact, and will have some new strong players to bolster their roster. The CT Orioles who draw most of their players from UConn and are based around the entire state will once again be our road warriors and expect to improve in their second year. Lastly the Rocky Hill Rockies are trying to 3-Peat in the league, something that hasn’t been done since the 2002 – 2004 Manchester Rangers. We’ve had a few back to back champions with the 2014-2015 Bristol Knights and the 2009-2010 Willimantic Ridges… but no team in recent years was able to pull off the 3-peat.
Looking for 2022 schedule !!!
