In the 3rd annual GHTBL vs CTL All-Star game, the friendly rivalry continues this coming Monday at Muzzy Field in Bristol. Game starts at 7pm and players should look to get there 6 or just after. The Game will be managed on the CTL side by longtime league President Chris Barsa. This will be Chris’s last act as manager / president in the CTL as he is finally hanging it up after this 2017 season. Many thanks to Chris for all he’s done for this league over the last 10 years that he’s been president and many years before and concurrent with that as a coach/player. Chris will be assisted running the game with help from recent league championship manager Don Fodaski, Central Division manager of the Bristol Knights and league VP Brian LaRochelle, and Elmer’s Manager and league VP Ken Cook. We welcome all teams to come watch and have a good time at the game. We took nominations from all the managers in the league and put together an initial invite list for the players to play in the game… which we are in the final bit of finding out who is in.
The Final roster will be posted here on Monday.
The game is hosted this year by the city of Bristol and our home team the Bristol Knights of the CTL, and organized by longtime Knights Coach/GM and league VP Scott Dickens. Thanks to the Bristol Parks and Rec department and Board of Education for your support over the past 15 years of running an adult twilight league in the town of Bristol. This is also Scott’s last year playing and being an active player/coach in the league after 15 years… but Scott will stay on behind the scenes with the Knights and take over some of Chris’s duties as the Interem President along with sharing some of the responsibilies with the rest of the board.
