After a very tough season of rain, rain, rain, more rain, perceived rain, a little baseball here and there, and some amazing high points… the end of the regular season is in reach. All teams close out the regular season by this Friday, 8/4/2017. One final week to get in all the makeup games you can. The Orioles clinched the Eastern Division regular season title late this past week, finally putting it out of reach of the Glastonbury Pirates. In the Central the Knights have a magic number of 2, left to clinch the division title and first round playoff bye. There are multiple teams also battling to stay out of the bottom 4 entering the playoffs, so they won’t start the playoffs essentially with a loss… starting in the elimination bracket. Many teams play 3 or 4 games this final week, with Elmer’s having 5 scheduled. Its a mad dash to the end.
