On June 2nd, the Glastonbury Pirates, the Willimantic Ridges, Elmer’s Silver Bullets, and the Bristol Knights got to take the field on beautiful Dodd Stadium in Norwich, CT. A beautiful and slightly cool night, the teams enjoyed the awesome facilities that the Connecticut Tigers have. We used the batting cages, had the game announced, team logos up on the scoreboard. Unfortunately the locker rooms weren’t available due to the Hartford Yard Goats using the field since Dunkin’ Donuts Park not being ready. After it was over, both teams from last years league championship came out victorious. The Willimantic Ridges defeated the Glastonbury Pirates 5-1, and in the second game, the Bristol Knights knocked off rival Elmer’s 4 -1.
