2 days into the CTL Playoffs, we’ve had 4 teams’ championship runs cut short. Last night Elmer’s lost to the Indians 5-3 and the Orioles lost to the Panthers in 8 innings, 4-3. So… 6 teams left.
In game 1 last night, the Ridges behind the pitching of Pete Moulin took down top seed Glastonbury Pirates (and pitcher Zach Cloft), 8-1.
In game 2, Matt Niedzwiecki of the Bristol Knights came out and threw a dominant complete game shutout 2 hitter to defeat the Angels, 2-0.
