The Willimantic Ridges defeated the Plaza Azteca Indians 6-0 on Tues night to clinch the top spot in the East division and the top seed in the playoffs next week. Pete Moulin pitched the complete game shutout for Willimantic. Ted Roback making his first start in over a year for the Indians took the loss. A wild first inning with 2 walks and a HBP led to 3 runs and the Indians couldn’t muster much against Moulin.
The East Hartford Angels beat the Loco Perro Expos 7-0 and giving EH at worst the 6th seed in next weeks playoffs. Sean Cormier pitched the shutout for the Angels in their biggest win of the year.
Bristol looks to avoid being the 7th seed in a big game at home against Elmer’s coming this Friday.
